The Menu

What People Have to Say

Every bit as good as I was expecting. The positive reviews are spot on.

I had the Greek stuffed sandwich and clam chowder. Both were top notch. My wife really enjoyed her salad.

Great service also.

Definitely the peanut butter shake. Friendly service and pretty good food. Will definitely go back when we go through Raymond. Cosy atmosphere · Great food · Child-friendly

So I was passing through Raymond today going from Astoria to Olympia and desperately needed to get a bit of work done. Normally that’d be a Starbucks, but there’s no green-mermaid love for Raymond (WTF Starbucks? Everybody loves Raymond!).

Anyways, the desperate search for a place to juice my laptop with decent T-Mobile signal (or perhaps purloined WiFi from an unsecured access point, but I didn’t do that, right? ;-) ) ended at Slater’s.

The Fish & Chips was sublime and my wife’s spaghetti was incredible. But the service took the cake. The staff was incredibly tolerant of my laptop’s needs and the logistics of dealing with a table camper and delivering food at just the right time.

If you need a quiet (but not too quiet) place to get stuff done in Raymond, you’ll not find a better place in town. And amazing food in a wonderfully clean and perfectly-themed 50s diner.
